Where was the rest of the picture?
On March 2nd of 2012 the JTNews, Seattle’s Jewish community owned newspaper, published the most infamous cover photo in the history of the journal. For the first time in memory a photo representing a group dedicated to the destruction of the Jewish state were gifted a flattering top of the fold cover photo in the “Voice of Jewish Washington”.
The Mike Report has obtained a wider angle photo of the same protest scene depicted on the cover of the JTNews. Two things become quickly apparent from the perspective of the unpublished photo (see below). First; the attendance at the Boycott Israel Rally in Olympia was paltry with several prepared signs lying orphaned on the ground with no anti-Israel advocates to carry them. Second; standing directly to the right of the unidentified activists in the JTNews photo was a missing fourth man with a less subtle message.
As can be seen in the above unpublished photo, the “missing man” is direct and honest as he proclaims through his signage his group’s goal to “Boycott, Divest & Sanction” the State of Israel. His inclusion on the cover would certainly have better explained the goals of the protesters at the “rally” that day.
Unlike his fellow boycott proponents, the “missing man” publicly declares himself to be Jewish. Would it not have been more appropriate to feature a member of the Jewish community on the cover of The Seattle Jewish Federation owned paper? Was the “missing man” excluded because he provided a harder to digest face of the anti-Israel BDS movement?
Why did the JTNews hide the rest of the picture from their readers?
