Federation’s JTNews Promotes Organization at War with Israel
The Mike Report recently shared with readers how the Seattle Jewish Federation’s JTNews was promoting and providing legitimacy to Seattle’s Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), a group dedicated to the demographic if not military elimination of the Jewish state. JTNews incredibly includes the organization in their annual Guide to Jewish Washington, giving the group standing as a respected and legitimate member of the Seattle Jewish community. As an aside, JVP was again this year listed by the ADL as one of the top ten anti-Israel organizations in the country.

JTNews continues to provide legitimacy to the rabidly anti-Israel Jewish Voice for Peace in their annual Guide to Jewish Washington.
As part of their ongoing war against the Jewish state, Jewish Voice for Peace just this Friday urged participation in an effort to forcibly prevent an Israeli cargo ship from unloading at the Port of Tacoma today and in Seattle on Sunday.

Despite occasional claims to the contrary, our contributions to the Jewish Federation help fund the JTNews and their inclusion of Jewish Voice for Peace under our communal umbrella. While our umbrella must be wide and welcoming, must our charitable dollars contribute to the promotion of an organization engaged in economic warfare against the Jewish state?

Yes, as advertised, they promote “respect for international law”. I can see how Israel might regard that as an act of war.
If only JVP were as they advertised themselves to be I would sign up.
Are these BDSers targeting any ship with Zim on it? The Oakland ship had no ties to Israel, from what I’ve been able to find out. It hadn’t picked up cargo from Israel, but had been in China. The shipping company is only 32% Israeli owned. The owners of any particular ship might be any nationality. By preventing these ships from unloading cargo, the protesters are interfering with international commerce, and instead of hurting Israel, they are hurting consumers and their ability to obtain products of their choice.
